Southwind Plantation is very proud of our state of the art kennels that can accommodate 80 dogs. We currently house 75 dogs that consist of English Pointers, English Setters, Luellen Setters, German Short hair Pointers, English Cocker Spaniels, Brittany Spaniels, and Labs. Closely supervised by 25- year veteran guide and trainer G.J Kimbrell, these dogs are born and bred from true championship bloodlines. And watching them work is sure to be one of the hallmark memories of your stay at Southwind.

Veteran Hunting Dog Acquisition Program

After 8 to 9 years in the starting rotation, our veteran dogs reach retirement age. We want to show our appreciation to our older dogs and allow younger dogs a chance to make the team. So we are offering prized veterans the opportunity to go to a new, loving home. This is your chance to have a well- trained champion bred hunting dog at a reasonable price and without the hassles of training and refining the dog's skills.

New Hunting Dog Breeding Program

The Southwind breeding program allows you to acquire a champion bred hunting dog to bond with and care for throughout its life. We have all of our breeds on strict breeding schedules to keep young blood running through our kennels.
